Your Snowgoose Mountain Centre adventure in
Scotland awaits you!
The four apartments and lodge which comprise Snowgoose Mountain Centre is situated at the extreme South West end of the Caledonian Canal built by Telford in the early 1800's.
Fort William is four miles away.
The site itself is historically important.
The building was originally a smithy and forge before the building of the canal. Ben Nevis is six miles away and dominates the landscape. The apartments overlook the tidal waters of Upper Loch Linnhe, which is dotted with several small islands. Adding to the local scene is a wide variety of boats and yachts which pass through the canal basin at Corpach a few yards away from the property.
The steam train which uses the West Highland Line to Mallaig passes the cottage. in fact the property was formerly known as Station Cottages at a time when it took two and a half days to get from King's Cross in London to Mallaig by train!
This is definitely not an away from it all "end of the glen" location. However the unique site will make for an interesting, excitingly peaceful holiday.
