Private Mountaineering Courses
Summer mountaineering course is an excellent introduction into technical mountain climbing. We use
the San Juan Mountains between Durango and Silverton. The area is between 10,000 and 13,000 feet above
sea level. The course is a condensed version of our Five Day Mountaineering course. We concentrate on
alpine snow climbing and the course culminates with a technical ascent of a thirteen thousand foot
mountain. This is a great course for those that want to attempt high altitude climbs in a foreign
country and lack snow climbing skills.
The courses are designed on a private basis and are tailor made,
based on previous experience and future climbing goals so you get the most personalized and applicable
training for your time and money.
