Rainier Mountaineering, Inc. operates within Mt. Rainier National Park under a contract with the
National Park Service, United States Department of the Interior. RMI is also an authorized concessionaire
of Denali National Park & Preserve, Alaska, to conduct guided ascents of Mt. McKinley.
Mt. Rainier, at 14,410', is the most extensively glaciated volcanic peak in the continental United
States. It offers limitless mountaineering possibilities to the aspiring or experienced mountaineer.
This unique training ground is demanding and, at times, relentless. The combination of altitude and
severe weather challenges the climber to readily adapt his or her skills to an ever changing mountain
