NYC blackbearcampground

Great Tours from your campground through New York City

Black Bear Campground is 46 miles Northwest of Times Square, where the suburbs end and farm country begins. From mid-May to mid-October, we have guided tours direct from the campground. The tours leave the campground at about 7:30AM and return about 6:00PM. You are accompanied on the tour by a New York City licensed guide. Guided tours require advanced reservations.

For those who want to tour New York City but do not want to take a guided tour, there are several options available. We are not far from the commuter railroad that stops near the Empire State Building. From there you can take a bus or train to Battery Park and the ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. After visiting the Statue of Liberty, one can take a Gray Line sightseeing bus, or you can tour the City on your own.
