Great Tours from your campground through New York City
Black Bear Campground is 46 miles Northwest of Times Square, where the suburbs end and farm country
begins. From mid-May to mid-October, we have guided tours direct from the campground. The tours leave
the campground at about 7:30AM and return about 6:00PM. You are accompanied on the tour by a New York
City licensed guide. Guided tours require advanced reservations.
For those who want to tour New York
City but do not want to take a guided tour, there are several options available. We are not far from the
commuter railroad that stops near the Empire State Building. From there you can take a bus or train to
Battery Park and the ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. After visiting the Statue of
Liberty, one can take a Gray Line sightseeing bus, or you can tour the City on your own.
