Cooking Beach Breaks
East London is a quiet city with all the modern amenities of the 21st century. You say, "But I can
get that anywhere!". True, but we offer WAVES! Positioned on South Africa's south east coast, we
receive ground swell from the roaring forties, rolling in from the southwest and the south, as well
as east swell in summer and autumn (fall) from distant tropical cyclones in the southern Indian Ocean.
How does that grab you - interested now?? Our coast consists of a succession of beautiful beaches,
points and bays, perfectly positioned in conjunction with our prevailing south westerly wind to
turn swell into waves peeling off right hand points, left hand reefs and cooking beach breaks!
